Step 1- Consultation

The first step in the process is to call or email us to set-up a consultation where we will discuss your project ideas. At Nova Woodworks there are no standard styles, sizes, restrictions on materials, colours and finishes. We are truly a 100% custom manufacturer of cabinetry and architectural millwork. We are able to design and create any space with virtually limitless possibilities that will meet your ideal living or workspace needs. Each design is specifically created to meet the individual needs of each client and we strive to provide unique and innovative design solutions to meet those needs.

We offer two types of design consultation services:

In-Showroom Consultation: This is a free complimentary service. This option is perfect for the client who is comfortable with producing a dimensioned rough sketch of the space where the cabinetry will be located (if the project proceeds our designer will do final measurements prior to the ordering process.)
Some other items to bring to this meeting include:

• Magazine clippings of cabinet styles and accessories that you are interested in
• An established budget (which will allow us to lead you in the right direction in terms of the various cabinet styles, options and features)
• Types of materials you want to use for your project
• An idea of the types of appliances you want to incorporate into the design.

Our designer will collect all of the vital information and provide you with a rough estimate for your project.

In-Home Consultation: There is a fee for this service. Please contact us to discuss timing and pricing for this service. This option is perfect for the client who would like the measurements and sketches to be done by a professional designer and wants to go beyond the estimate and have a design completed. This service will also speed up the overall design phase since the designer will be working with more finalized dimensions.
This service includes the following items:

• Your space measured by our professional staff
• A complete design and estimate of your project
• Full access to working design drawings and renderings
• Design Consultation Fee will be applied towards the final cost of your project

Step 2- Design

This is the next step in the process for the clients who had an In-Showroom Consultation and would like to proceed. Our designer will meet with you again in our showroom to discuss in further detail the functionality of the cabinetry including drawer and door placement; interior sizes required in cabinets and drawers; door styles and colour; trim options and accessories. Our staff will also visit your project site and take detailed measurements and locate services allowing us to produce accurate design drawings, renderings and a more accurate estimate. A Design Consultation Fee will be charged in this phase and will be included in the final cost of your project.

Step 3- Design Review / Approval

It is during this step that all changes are made to the drawings and the final colours of the cabinetry are discussed. Every detail will be examined during this step and all options will be finalized. At this point all of the drawings and colour samples will be reviewed and you will be required to sign off on each component. A final site visit will be scheduled at this point so that our professionals can verify final measurements to ensure that the cabinetry will be an exact fit. A final cost will be determined for the project and a contract will be provided outlining every detail as well as a payment schedule. An estimated delivery and install date will be established so that you are able to schedule other trades if needed for your project. Fabrication of the cabinetry is now ready to begin. Once the custom order is processed, any changes made during production will result in additional cost and a delayed delivery date.

Step 4- Build

Fabrication of the cabinetry will begin once we receive the down payment. Our highly skilled and experienced cabinet makers will carefully select the best quality materials for your project matching grain patterns and colour consistency to produce cabinetry of the highest standards. We welcome our customers to visit our facility as the cabinets are manufactured to check on our progress and view the final product.

Step 5- Delivery / Installation

Once the cabinets are built, a time will be scheduled for our team to deliver and install the finished cabinet components. We install all of the cabinetry that we manufacture to ensure that a consistent level of quality and service is maintained throughout a project. All of the cabinetry will be scribed to fit tightly against walls and floors providing that overall custom look.
